MEN’S TRACK COMPETES AT UW-OSHKOSH LAST CHANCE MEET
OSHKOSH – The UW-Eau Claire men’s track and field team traveled to Oshkosh to compete at the UW-Oshkosh Last Chance Meet here today at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium. Chris Wirtz (Fr.-Weston/D.C. Everest) won the 1,500-meter run crossing the finish line in 4:05.60. Kevin Hall (So.-Green Bay/Preble) finished third in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:04.65. James Marsh (Fr.-Madison/West) placed sixth in the 5,000 finishing in 16:00.98. Joseph Veriga (Sr.-Cudahy) finished sixth in the 800-meter dash with a time of 1:55.81. Joe Felber (So.-Manitowoc/Lincoln) led all Blugold field competitors with a second place finish in the triple jump covering a distance of 45-5. Scott Liebelt (Jr.-Eau Claire/North) placed sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 39-3.75. Ryan Brohmer (Sr.-La Crosse/Logan) finished fourth in the hammer throw with an NCAA provisional qualifying toss of 171-5. Up next the Blugolds travel to La Crosse to compete in the UW-La Crosse Last Chance Meet on Thursday, May 17. Action is set to start at 4:00 P.M. Final Results
