MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD IN SIXTH AFTER DAY ONE
WHITEWATER – The UW-Eau Claire men’s track and field team sits at sixth place with 14 points after the first day at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Indoor Championships. UW-La Crosse has a commanding lead with 62 points. UW-Oshkosh is second with 29. The team in front of Eau Claire, UW-Platteville, has a 21 score. In the 5000-meter run, Eau Claire took sixth through eighth place. Ted Lillie (Jr.-North St. Paul, MN) had a 15:10.30 time for three points. Kevin Hall (So.-Green Bay/Preble) had a 15:11.44 race for two points as Jules Miller (Jr.-Green Bay/East) ran a 15:12.00 time for one point. The distance medley relay squad netted a point on its 10:42.79 effort. In the field events, Joe Felber (So.-Manitowoc/Lincoln) went 6.70 meters (21’ 11 ¾”) in the long jump to rank fifth for four points. Josh Boehm (Jr.-Mosinee) had a 4.52 meter (14’ 10”) pole vault for sixth place and three points Action wraps up tomorrow in the WIAC Indoor Championships, hosted by UW-Whitewater.
