SWIMMING AND DIVING AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED

EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire men's and women's swimming and diving teams have announced the season award winners at the end of the season banquet..

The Most Valuable Award went to Mike Carroll (Jr-Green Lake) and Dan VonFeldt (Sr-Lancaster) on the men's side and Liz VonFeldt (Jr-Lancaster) on the women's side. Dan VonFeldt was the only Blugold on either side to qualify for national competition, qualifying in the three meter diving event.

Chris Straw (So-Waunakee) and Adam VonFeldt (Fr-Lancaster) took home the Most Improved Award for the men while Sarah Alt (Fr-Spring Green, River Valley) and Jessie Lang (Fr-Sherwood/Kaukauna) took home the award for the women.

The Most Inspirational Awards went to Stetson Johnson (Jr-Roseville, MN) and Liz VonFeldt, giving VonFeldt her second award.

John Welch (Jr-Marshfield) and Annie Gorman (Fr-Menomonie) earned the Hardest Worker Awards while the Coach's Blugold Award went to Stetson Johnson.

The 2003-2004 season captains were also announced at the banquet. Johnson, Welch, and Steven Fisher (So-Shoreview, MN/Mounds View) were named the men's swimming captains while Liz VonFeldt, Krista DeJarlais (Jr-Marshfield) and Tanya Ringquist (Fr-Buffalo, MN) were named the women's swimming captains. Adria Bye (Jr-Appleton/West) was named the 2003-2004 diving captain.
