MEN’S GOLF TAKES THIRD AT FRED B. KRAVETZ INVITE

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The UW-Eau Claire men’s golf team moved up a spot in the final day of the Fred B. Kravetz Invitational to take third out of six teams.

The Blugolds put together 447 strokes for third while St. John Fisher College (N.Y.) took first with 428. Ohio Wesleyan University was between them with 444. Skidmore College (N.Y.) golfed 449 while the University of Rochester (N.Y.) took fifth at 459. Nebraska Wesleyan University’s 460 took last.

Derek Bauer (Sr.-Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Eagan) tied for third with a 107 score. Scott Harris, Jr. of the winning St. John Fisher squad won individual honors with a 105 over two days. Peter Wendt (Sr.-Lake Mills, Wis.) was three strokes behind Bauer and took eighth.

Ben Ziemann (So.-Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) put together a 116 performance to tie for 16th. Mason Milner (Sr.-Onalaska, Wis.) tied for 25th with a 119. The 127 from Aaron Nelson (So.-River Falls, Wis.) was good for a 31st-place tie.

Friday will be the last meet of the year for the team. The event is against Edgewood College in Madison, Wis.
