GYMNASTICS PLACES SECOND IN UW-LA CROSSE INVITE

LA CROSSE - The UW-Eau Claire gymnastics team placed second out of four teams tonight with a score of 175.400 in the Gershon/McLellan Invitational held at UW-La Crosse.

The Blugolds are now 4-6 overall on the season after the second place finish. The winner of the meet was the host UW-La Crosse with a score of 178.325. Finishing in third was Gustavus Adolphus with a score of 172.000 and rounding out was UW-Oshkosh with a score of 169.400.

The Blugolds' Lynn Morris (Sr.-Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes) once again finished first in the meet in the all-around with a score of 36.275. Theresa Lynch (So.-Vadnais Heights, MN/White Bear) finished third in the all-around with a score of 35.375 and Angie Cich (So.-Plymouth, MN/Armstrong) finished fourth with a score 34.825.

Morris was the top Blugold finisher in the balance beam, finishing second with a score of 9.275. She was also the top finisher in the uneven parallel bars, finishing fourth with a score of 8.975.

Lynch finished second for the Blugolds in the floor exercise with a score of 8.875 and Cich was the top Blugold finisher in the vault with a score of 9.225.

Up next, the Blugolds will host UW-Oshkosh next Friday night in a conference dual meet. The action begins at 7 p.m. in the McPhee Physical Education Center.
