GYMNASTICS PLACES FOURTH IN QUAD

DENTON, TX - The UW-Eau Claire gymnastics team placed fourth out of four teams with a score of 181.3 at the Texas Women's University Quadrangular held tonight in Denton, Texas.

The University of New Hampshire won the meet with a score of 194.4. The host Texas Women's University placed second with a score of 190.9. San Jose Sate was the last team in the quad and they finished third with a score of 190.3. After the quad the Blugolds overall record is now 2-4.

The Blugolds' Lynn Morris (Sr.-Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes) finished fourth in the all-around with a score of 37.55, while Theresa Lynch (So.-Vadnais Heights, MN/White Bear) placed sixth with a score of 35.325. Morris placed sixth which was highest of all the Blugolds in the balance beam with a score of 9.725.

Morris was also the top Blugold finisher in the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.3. Morris tied with teammate Angie Cich (So.-Plymouth, MN/Armstrong) in the vault with each getting scores of 9.3.

Anna Sutherland (Fr.-Roseville, MN) was the top Blugold finisher in the floor exercise with a score of 9.525.

Up next the Blugolds will travel to UW-La Crosse to face the Eagles in a dual meet next Friday night. The action begins at 7 p.m.
