Assistant Football Coach - Derek Sikora

Derek Sikora

Derek Sikora enters his first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Blugolds. Sikora will be responsible for coaching the defensive backs.

A Neillsville, Wisconsin native, Sikora played football for the Blugolds from 2002-05. Sikora was a two-time All-WIAC selection at cornerback and received All-WIAC honors as a return specialist his senior season. He was also named twice to the All-West Region third team, once as a cornerback and the other as a returner.

Sikora was also a star wrestler at UW-Eau Claire. In his senior season, Sikora became the first wrestler in Blugolds history to capture a National Championship. Sikora was a two-time All-American and a conference champion in 2004 and 2006, while finishing second in 2005 and 2003. Sikora had a career record of 111-23.

Sikora recently received his degree in movement studies this past summer.
