MADISON - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) announced today that an agreement has been reached with Penn Atlantic, LLC to internet stream this Saturday's (October 1) football game between UW-Eau Claire and UW-Whitewater. With the technical assistance provided by Penn Atlantic, fans of both the participating institutions, the WIAC and college football in general will be able to view this game free of charge over the internet. The game to be played at UW-Whitewater is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. and fans will be able to get access information through the WIAC web site (http://www.uwsa.edu/wiac/) or the athletics department web sites of either UW-Eau Claire (http://www.uwec.edu/athletics/) or UW-Whitewater (http://www.uww.edu/athletics/) on Friday, September 30. It should be noted that interested viewers will need to have either DSL or cable modem capabilities to access the game. "The WIAC is extremely excited about the opportunity to broadcast this game live over the internet across the entire country", commented WIAC Commissioner Gary Karner.
