St. John’s leads the all-time series 2-3. The series began in 1955, John Gagliardi’s third season as head coach at St. John’s, with a 33-6 Johnnie victory. Both schools did not face each other until 1998 when the Blugolds won at Collegeville 10-7 in the second round of the NCAA playoffs.
