Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency (CAAP)

Since 1995, UW-Eau Claire has been administering The Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency (CAAP) to assess students’ academic proficiency. Previous assessments have examined students writing, reading, verbal, and quantitative skills. CAAP was selected because it is relevant in the assessment of general education foundational skills typically attained by student’s second or sophomore year of college. The CAAP is designed to measure academic skills necessary for upper level core curriculum: math, reading, writing, science, reasoning, and critical thinking.
