Guides

If students are going to develop ownership of their learning, they need to be situated to take responsibility for the baccalaureate goals and learning outcomes. The following links are to handouts and discussion guides that will directly engage students in reflecting on and taking ownership of their learning and participation in the Baccalaureate WebPortfolio.

If the Baccalaureate WebPortfolio is going to fulfill its potential to provide rich and authentic examples of student learning, then faculty need to integrate the following into their courses.

  • Make explicit to students the goals and learning outcomes addressed in the class.
  • Make explicit to students those assignments that demonstrate the learning outcomes.
  • Invite students to discuss their views and opinions about the goals and learning outcomes for a college graduate.

The WebPortfolio worksheet is designed to help faculty identify assignments and projects in their syllabus that students could upload into the WebPortfolio.
