The new UW-Eau Claire Liberal Education Learning Goals were approved by Chancellor Brian Levin-Stankevich on December 12, 2008. These new goals replace the previous 11 Goals of the Baccalaureate Degree after campus-wide discussion throughout the spring and fall of 2007. The proposed comprehensive plan for assessing student learning outcomes is currently under review and discussion.

What is the new plan for assessing student learning? Revised institutional level learning goals necessitates a revised plan for assessing student learning. The new plan calls for assessment at multiple levels, with primary activity occurring on the level of the department majors and the general education program.
