Conference "Cross-Cultural Perspectives of Visual Communication"
Location: Davies Center, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA.

Welcome for Conference Registration
|
 |
Concept of the Conference:
Rapid developments of global, cultural and economic interactions have made mutual understanding and respect in communication among diverse cultures crucial. And visual communication is an important aspect of that communication - a part of people's daily activities in business and personal contexts. Thus, it is important for experts in associated educational fields to discuss cross-cultural perspectives of visual communication.
During the conference, national and international researchers, faculty and students will present their scholarly research, historical studies, creative experiences, and pedagogics that address cross-cultural perspectives of visual communication for session discussions. A variety of subjects associated with diverse visual communication fields, including visual arts, design, art history, photojournalism, advertising, television, film, multimedia, theatre, or mass communication education, etc. will be addressed. Subjects about cross-cultural visual communication grounded in historical, legal, ethical, technological, educational, practical or theoretical contexts are included. The conference explores new ways of using visual communication to bridge diversity, communicate different perspectives, and expand the horizons.
