Eleven UW-Eau Claire AMA members attended the 31st Annual International Collegiate Conference in March in New Orleans, LA. Competing against 146 universities across North America, the UW-Eau Claire AMA received an honorable mention in the Chapter Recruitment Video Competition and was also recognized as an Outstanding Chapter. Only eight of these awards were given out internationally to recognize outstanding performance in areas such as Professional Development, Membership Activities adn Recruitment, Internal and External Communications, Community Service, Fundraising, and Organizational Strategic Planning. It was a great accomplishment to receive this award especially because this past year was the first time in over a decade that the UW-Eau Claire AMA participated at the national level.
"I am extremely proud of the chapter. Under the guidance or our President, Kelli Renstrom, and Vice President, Becky Roberts, the UWEC-AMA added several new activities/competitions this past year that have provided more quality opportunities for chapter members to develop their business skills and professionalism. In addition, contributions to community service were greatly expanded with the end result being AMA members that are sensitive to giving back to society, and having skills that make them more marketable in these tough economic times,"
