Scott Swanson (Ph.D., University of Kentucky) is currently a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he teaches Buyer Behavior, Services Marketing, and Principles of Marketing courses. Dr. Swanson is the President elect of the American Marketing Associations Collegiate Council, and advisor for the UWEC-AMA Collegiate Chapter. His work on the Collegiate Council has included acting as the international case coordinator, leading the Ambassador Program, and developing new competitions for international AMA Collegiate Chapters.
Swanson has provided service to the marketing discipline by acting as a manuscript reviewer for several journals and conferences, as well as acting as Track and Session Chairs for both domestic and international marketing conferences. Swanson has more than 50 research publications and multiple research grants awarded over the past several years. His research interests include service recovery issues, hospitality and tourism, sports sponsorship marketing, and pedagogy. Swanson’s research has been published in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Services Marketing, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, and Marketing Education Review, among others.
