Dr. Eric Jamelske, an economist from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, will discuss the results of a survey by the Chippewa Valley Center for Economic Research and Eau Claire County Extension office regarding the purchase of local food products by Wisconsin colleges. About the presenter Jamelske joined UW-Eau Claire's economics department in 2002 as an assistant professor. He teaches introductory and intermediate microeconomics, as well as health economics and environmental economics. He was named a 2004 Wisconsin Ideas Fellow for his involvement in local economic research and development. Jamelske earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Sonoma State University in California and received a master's degree and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of California-Davis. Future "Let's Do Lunch" Dates, Topics and Speakers: Wednesday, May 28, 2008: "Sand Dunes in the Lower Chippewa River Valley?" with Dr. Garry Running IV, associate professor of geography and anthropology, and Dr. Sean Hartnett, professor of geography and anthropology. There will be no "Let's Do Lunch" presentations during the summer. The program will resume in September. |
