Matthew Nohr '01 and Katie (Trunnell) Nohr '02

Matthew and Katie Nohr while at UW-Eau Claire Where and how did you meet at UW-Eau Claire? We met our freshman year. We were both members of Alpha Phi Omega.

Was it a “love connection” at first? Not exactly. We were good friends but didn't begin dating until after graduation.

Who made the first move? I think our friends actually made the first move. The pressure at a friend's wedding was too much!

Is there a place on campus that's special for the two of you? We both lived in Governors Hall sophomore year. The Joynt also became a special place senior year. Point and peanuts on Sunday nights along with good conversation solidified our relationship. We also spent a lot of time in the student organization "cubes" in Davies Center

Recent photo of Matthew and Katie Nohr How long have you been married? Two and a half years.

What is your fondest memory as a couple that connects you to UW-Eau Claire? We have always loved homecoming. We still go back each year. Giving back to the community is also a fond memory. It was the work we did through Alpha Phi Omega that brought us together.
