Scott Nemec '03 and Kaye (Finne) Nemec '04

Where and how did you meet at UW-Eau Claire? We met in Towers North. Scott became an RA the second semester of his sophomore year. He lived on the second floor, and I was a freshman living on the third floor. Eventually Scott asked my twin sister to sub on his coed volleyball team, and that led to me subbing when my sister wasn't available. A year later I became an RA in Towers North during my second semester of my sophomore year, so we were both on the same staff until Scott graduated in December 2003.

Was it a “love connection” from the start? We developed a very close friendship and remained friends for about two years before a "love connection" developed. Although we were very close, we didn't officially start dating until the February after Scott graduated.

Is there a place on campus that's special for the two of you? Towers North would probably be our special place, since that is where we both lived, worked, met each other and had our first kiss!

What is your fondest memory as a couple that connects you to UW-Eau Claire? We used to go on late-night adventures together all of the time. Usually we'd sneak away around midnight  and go explore various areas of Eau Claire. We discovered a bunch of great, hidden spots around the city together!
