| Ross and Megan (Radix) Jahnke had this engagement photo taken on Putnam Trail on the UW-Eau Claire campus. |
Where and how did you meet while students at UW-Eau Claire? We met in the fall of 2002 when Megan began her freshman year at UW-Eau Claire. We both lived in Sutherland Hall and had mutual friends. Over the next couple of months we became much closer and in May 2003 we began dating.
Was it a “love connection” from the start? I think we both felt a connection right away but wanted to remain friends until we knew each other better. We enjoyed hanging out as friends and enjoyed the company of our mutual friends. As we got to know each other better we began to fall in love more and more!
Special place on campus: Sutherland Hall, second floor, Room 203 (I think that was the room number). This was the room where Ross asked Megan to be his girlfriend, and in that same room, 2½ years later, Ross asked Megan to be his wife. Our engagement story will always include Sutherland Hall!
What is your fondest memory as a couple that connects you to UW-Eau Claire? UW-Eau Claire is where we met each other and fell in love. The memories we share at UW-Eau Claire are priceless and will forever remain in our hearts. We couldn't begin to pick out one memory in particular that we share at UW-EC, we shared so many! Our time at Eau Claire will never be forgotten.
When did you tie the knot? We were married June 9, 2006.
