 Tom Flesch '74 and Jeannie (Flock) Flesch '73
Tom and Jeannie both lived in Towers — she was a sophomore and he was a freshman, where they hung out together with the same group of people. They spent a good bit of time at Hilltop — on weekends it was THE place to party. Another place on campus where they spent a lot of time was the old Blugold Room, where a friend would always save them a spot at a table next to the jukebox.
They also remember participating in Tornado Watch, which was an annual gathering (during tornado season) just outside Eau Claire.
They started dating her senior year, his junior year. Jeannie made the first overture: Tom worked as a pizza delivery person for a local pizza place close to where she lived. She knew he was working one night, so she caught up with him and asked if he would like company on his delivery route. He said “sure,” and she rode around on deliveries with him. Neither Tom nor Jeannie dated anyone else after that.
 Tom and Jeannie have been married 31 years. |
