The Music and Theatre Arts Department is proud of the ensemble tradition at UW-Eau Claire, offering outstanding opportunities for all university students in musical training and enrichment. Students benefit from a large and well established program that includes twenty-one large and small groups offering a variety of music from the traditional choral, orchestral and wind repertoire to jazz and musical theatre. Planetarium programs for the general public are presented Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. during UWEC fall and spring semesters. Tickets for these programs are $1 per person and must be purchased at the UW-Eau Claire Service Center located in Davies Center 161, 715-836-3727. Tickets cannot be purchased at the planetarium door.
UAC is the campus-wide events programming board at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Student programmers select, promote and produce a wide variety of cultural, educational and entertainment programs for the university community. An all-volunteer, award winning commission of the Student Senate, the UAC receives part of the segregated student fee budget to support its activities, which means that UWEC students may attend UAC programs at no charge or at significantly reduced cost.
The Cabin hosts free performances nearly every weekend. From open stage opportunities to open prose and poetry readings sponsored by "None of the Above", the campus literary magazine; to performances selected from talented UW-Eau Claire students, faculty/staff and community, and nationally touring artists.
CONCERTSShows include alternative, rock, reggae, jazz, funk and country -- there's a show for everyone.
FESTIVALSCampus-wide festivals that bring people together -- Homecoming, Winter Carnival and Springfest.
FILMSScreenings at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., Thursday-Sunday. Tickets are $1 for UW-Eau Claire students, $2 for IFS/Fac/Staff/Community members. Tickets are available at the Service Center, 836-3727, www.uwec.edu/tickets,

In its most basic sense, Higherground is a student-run night club. Higherground functions in three ways: a restaurant, a lounge, and a night club.
SPECIAL EVENTSCommittee members select and publicize a wide variety of events including comedians, hypnotists, magicians, musicians, theater, guest artists, International and Chancellor's Roundtables, lecturers, discussion groups and much more.
