Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST) Requirements

All students enrolled in programs that lead to teacher certification must pass the Pre-professional Skills Test (PPST).

When Students Need To Have Passing Scores on File

Students in Middle Childhood/Early Adolescence (MCEA) must pass all three tests prior to registering for CI 205.

Students in Early Adolescence to Adolescence (EAA) must pass all 3 tests prior to registering for CI 210/211 or 212.

Students in Special Education must pass all three parts of the test prior to being accepted into their program.

Check with your adviser to determine precisely when you must have the passing scores on file.

When and Where To Take the Test

The PPST is offered in both a paper and pencil format and a computer-based format.
