Service-learning
At UW-Eau Claire, you can gain experience while benefiting the community. We're the only UW System institution that requires students to complete 30 hours of community service. These students generate more than 100,000 community-service hours each year.
Service-learning can be as varied as tutoring at-risk adolescents, writing articles for a non-profit agency newsletter, working in a domestic violence or homeless shelter, serving as a guide at a museum or repairing a hiking trail. Whatever the project, you'll serve your community, apply what you've learned in the classroom, and enhance your understanding and respect for others. Learn more.

UW-Eau Claire is one of 146 public colleges and universities participating in the American Democracy Project. Here students are encouraged to participate in civic life, increase their knowledge of current events, and connect with the world of politics and the communities where they live. Learn more.
