National recognition UW-Eau Claire has several recent recognitions for its support of military veterans, including being named a 2013 Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs magazine, being selected for the Military Times "Best for Vets: Colleges 2013" list, and being designated a top performer in Military Advanced Education's 2013 Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities. UW-Eau Claire is among the top producers of 2011-12 U.S. Fulbright Fellows. In a January 2012 report, the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance placed UW-Eau Claire among the top three most selective universities in the UW System and as the second lowest in terms of student loan debt at graduation. |

Nationally recognized nursing program UW-Eau Claire is the only public university in northwestern and northcentral Wisconsin that offers a baccalaureate nursing degree.
