National statistics show that graduates who participated in internships, independent study projects, assistantships, research projects, volunteer work or part-time jobs increase their likelihood of landing a satisfying job, and they tend to earn more.

Career Services' internship office maintains a file of more than 4,000 internships, giving students in all majors opportunities to experience hands-on learning in private business, industrial and academic settings.
