No application required for the following scholarships:
Scholarship	Eligibility	Amount
Arthur Thorson Memorial	Eau Claire high school graduates automatically considered for this award; preference given to graduates of Lincoln grade school; financial need	$400 (variable); nonrenewable
National Merit	All National Merit finalists who specify to the National Merit Corp. that UW-Eau Claire is their first choice; visit the National Merit Scholarship Corporation web site for more information	Full academic year resident tuition; renewable for 4 years with 3.0 GPA; students also awarded the Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholarship will receive in-state tuition and $2,000
Wisconsin Academic Excellence	Highest GPA in Wisconsin high school class; selected by high school board	$2,250; renewable for 4 years with a 3.0 GPA; students also awarded the National Merit Scholarship will receive in-state tuition plus $2,000
