International Admission Requirements and Process (Undergraduate)

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Office of Admissions selects students who demonstrate adequate academic preparation for university study and potential for success. Applicants must also document English proficiency and financial support. Applicants need to document financial support in order to process the application.

The application deadline for the fall (September) semester is June 1, and for spring (January) semester it is November 1. Late applications may be considered on a case by case basis. The following are required to be considered for admission:

  1. Completed Application for Undergraduate International Student Admission.
    You can request an application using the Information Request Form. You
    can also fill out an application on-line at http://apply.wisconsin.edu/eau.

  2. Application fee of $35.00 (Please note: the application fee will increase to $44.00 on Sept. 1, 2008.)

  3. Official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score. A score of
    525 (paper based), or 197 (computer based), or 69 (internet based) is
    the minimum for admission into a degree program. Students with lower
    scores may be considered for admission to the English Language Academy (ELA) until English proficiency is attained.

  4. Completed Financial Statement for International Applicant documenting
    support for one year of study with bank verification that funds will be

  5. Official records from all secondary schools, colleges and universities
    attended. Records must be in the original language with certified English translations. Official records should include all exam or test results,
    certificates, diplomas or degrees received. Certified true copies of records
    are acceptable as long as they have been certified by an appropriate
    school or government official.

  6. Official transcripts of all course work completed in the United States
    including English language courses.
