Before seeking admission to the program, students choosing Option C must complete CI 212, except for foreign language majors who take C210 and 211. Upon completion of these courses, students can apply to the program and should file a formal application during the first week of October (for spring admission) or of March (for fall admission). Candidates prepare a portfolio based on the 10 Wisconsin Teaching Standards for the department of curriculum and instruction. Additionally, content departments have requirements for admission which focus predominantly on content knowledge. Students are admitted on a selective and limited basis from a pool of candidates who meet minimum criteria.
