Pre-Law

• Many students select UW-Eau Claire because of its excellent reputation, comfortable size, convenient location and lower cost.
• Class sizes for beginning courses at UW-Eau Claire are typically much smaller than those at larger universities, and courses are taught exclusively by faculty members – not graduate assistants.
• Each pre-law student is assigned an adviser who is a faculty member in the political science department. These advisers provide individualized attention to students and are available to answer questions about law programs, courses and other concerns. They also have up-to-date information on the admission requirements of local law schools.
• The high quality of the university’s liberal arts education provides students a cultural awareness and breadth of knowledge that graduate and professional schools find desirable.
