On average, students who have gone through the pre-engineering program at UW-Eau Claire perform as well academically at UW-Madison as those students from other pre-engineering programs in the state. In recent years, on average, students from Eau Claire maintained their GPA after transferring to UW-Madison.
Class sizes for beginning courses at UW-Eau Claire are typically much smaller than those at larger universities, and courses are taught exclusively by faculty members – not graduate assistants.
Each pre-engineering student is assigned an adviser who is a faculty member in the UW-Eau Claire physics and astronomy department (or chemistry department for chemical engineering).
