Employers of the graduates are surveyed to determine how well graduates function in their first job; the responses are overwhelmingly positive.
The UW-Eau Claire College of Nursing and Health Sciences is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
The College of Nursing and Health Sciences is approved by the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing and has received approval by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to offer courses that will certify both senior students and registered nurses as school nurses.
The College of Nursing and Health Sciences contributes to the healthcare of the community through research and other scholarly activities and faculty and student involvement in health-focused activities.
The College of Nursing and Health Sciences participates in the statewide collaborative nursing program, for a baccalaureate degree. The program is designed for registered nurses who have an associate degree or diploma in nursing and who complete the general education component of the BSN at an accredited college or university. Using distance education technologies, upper division nursing courses for the BSN are made available at various sites throughout Wisconsin.
In addition to the UW-Eau Claire campus, a satellite program is available in Marshfield, in cooperation with Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
