About Us

The Actuarial Club, or the Actuarial Network, was re-activated in October of 1998. The club and the actuarial science program have expanded rapidly over the past few years, due in large part to the efforts of professor and Fellow of the Society of Actuaries Kris Presler. If you are interested in becoming part of the actuarial program please contact him. His email address is preslekk@uwec.edu.

The club itself has been established for the following reasons:

• To provide information and promote the actuarial profession
• To provide study groups for actuarial examinations
• To establish business contacts with regional actuarial employers
• To help secure job opportunities and internships

Study tables are available three times a week. (Math 491)

Officer Positions

President:
• Runs club meetings
• Oversees operations

Vice President:
• Heads classroom presentations
• Takes care of club paperwork
• Markets the club

Secretary:
• Takes notes during meetings
• Records attendance
• Updates Exam Reimbursement Points

Treasurer:
• Handles money
• Handles exam reimbursements

Professional Coordinator:
• Works directly with visiting companies
• Schedules and coordinates club events

Web Developer:
• Constructs and updates club website
• Maintains the club email account
