Exam 3/L: Life Contingencies and Statistics

Exam 3/L is one of two exams that combine for Exam M. This exam should not be attempted until completion of Exams 1/P and 2/FM and completion of Math 450: Foundations of Actuarial Science. Note that this exam is offered solely by the CAS and does not transfer to the SOA side. For that reason it is highly suggested that 3/MLC be taken instead of this exam since it does apply to both CAS and SOA. However, those students who have already decided to travel down the Property/Casualty road will find that this exam covers less material than 3/MLC and will likely be less difficult. The exam is typically offered twice a year and can be registered for here. The fee for this is exam is $265 ($325 for non-students)
