Course Information
Students in the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Actuarial Program may choose to complete a comprehensive mathematics major or a minor.
The comprehensive major satisfies all VEE requirements and includes coursework to prepare students for the first four actuarial exams. Students who select the minor must ensure that they complete VEE requirements indepedently,
since not all VEE courses are included.
Comprehensive Major in Actuarial Science
Students in the comprehensive major must complete the following courses (minimum 60 credits, not including any prerequisites):

Econ 104 or 304 - Macroeconomics

Acct 201 - Principles of Accounting I
Acct 202 - Principles of Accounting II
IS 240 - Information Systems in Business
Fin 320 - Principles of Finance
Fin 327 - Long Term Financial Management
Two of the following:
Math 316 - Real Analysis
Math 425 - Abstract Algebra I
Math 460 - Contingent Payment Analysis
