During the opening ceremony the Honored Guests are introduced and the Viennese Ball International Study Awards and Viennese Ball Music scholarship students are presented.

The ceremony includes presentation of the Emperor's Circle benefactors and the Presentation of W. R. Davies University Center Service Award for the Viennese Ball.
