The University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire has always taken pride in developing the leaders of tomorrow. The recognition of outstanding student leaders and outstanding student organizations reinforces the values of the university and fosters leadership development. The 2009 Student Leadership Awards will mark the 21st year of the program, and we are pleased to announce that several new awards have been added this year thanks to generous sponsorship from several UW-Eau Claire staff members.
2009 Student Leadership Recognition Awards Call for Nominations and Applications
The Student Leadership Recognition Awards are presented annually to recognize outstanding student leaders, organizations, and advisors. We seek your help in obtaining nominations and applications for the 2009 Awards. All faculty, staff, and students are invited to submit nominations. Names of nominators will be shared with the respective nominees. Student organizations may submit applications for the Student Organization Award. All nominations and applications for awards are due Friday, March 6, 2009.
Questionnaires regarding campus and community involvement will be sent to nominees upon their nomination. Nominees must submit completed questionnaires by Monday, March 30, 2009 to be eligible for awards.
A special selection committee will review all nominations and applications. All nominees and applicants will be recognized and award recipients announced at the Student Leadership Recognition Awards program on Friday, April 24, 2009.
