Journey of Hope

"Please hear our songs and see our smiles - we
will show you what a difference can be made
in the lives of children like us with your help.
"
- African Children's Choir

The African Children’s Choir has performed at prestigious events throughout the world, including the UN General Assembly Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London with Bobby McFerrin, the Live Aid concert in London (July 2, 2005) with Mariah Carey & Sir Paul McCartney, and Nelson Mandela’s AIDS awareness concert in South Africa. They recently appeared on American Idol.

The choir is made up of African children, ages seven through 11, many of whom have lost one or both parents through the devastation of war, famine and disease. With its motto, “Helping Africa’s most vulnerable children today so they can help Africa tomorrow,” the choir represents all the children of a continent, demonstrating the potential of African children to become strong leaders for a better future in their land.

The children melt the hearts of audiences with charming smiles and well-loved children’s songs,
hand clapping, traditional spirituals and contemporary tunes. Plan on a standing ovation!
