you interested in or passionate about the inequalities dealt with in our
society today? Our social diversity certificate specifically studies these inequalities
based on race, class, gender, and sexualities. We also look at the institutions
which cause these inequalities, where systems of privilege and oppression are created and sustained. We particularly encourage students going into health care, education, social services, and criminal justice to explore the social diversity certificate.

The social diversity certificate
courses include Race and Ethnicity in the U.S., Social Class and Inequality,
Sociology of Women or the Sociology of Gender, and Sociology of Sexualities.
