If you are mathematically inclined AND you enjoy real hands-on, experimental types of learning, then applied physics might be for you. If the up-and-coming technology areas of energy and nanotech is the career path that interests you, then applied physics is excellent preparation. In short, applied physics is the perfect fit for any career or further study requiring strong experimental, theoretical and/or calculation skills. It is also excellent preparation for graduate studies in any number of STEM areas, architecture, medicine or law.
