Laura | GermanThe languages department is a great department at UW-Eau Claire. The professors understand that language is a hard subject to conquer, so they use helpful tools to help you grasp the material. They are also passionate about what they teach and have a love for their language.
Learn the practical usage of the German language during your first two years. Then develop a cross-cultural understanding of the culture, literature, and more.
Provides a general foundation of the German language and culture. Great to addition to any major.
Share your passion with others by becoming a German teacher. Courses in culture, composition, literature and more will prepare you with a practical usage of the language.
Consider adding this minor to any teaching major. The German teaching minor is restricted to students in the College of Education and Human Sciences. The following areas of concentration are available:
Education Studies: Option B or C and leads to licensure to teach German in this area of concentration
Education Studies: Option A and leads to licensure to teach German in this area of concentration
Education Studies: Option C and leads to licensure to teach German in this area of concentration when combined with a major in another foreign language at the the early childhood through adolescent level.
