Interested in how we got here? Start at the beginning. Study of the ancient world provides insights into almost every field of human inquiry and the path(s) we took to get here. UWEC's Ancient Studies Minor offers an interdisciplinary approach to this still vibrant discipline. It is particularly geared toward students for whom a deeper understanding of the societies and cultures of the ancient world -foundational within a liberal education -will complement and enhance their major area of study and future careers. In particular, students who intend to pursue studies in the health professions, law, and almost any post-baccalaureate degree will find a Minor in Ancient Studies to their advantage. In general, the Minor in Ancient Studies will appeal to those interested not only in the evolution of ancient civilizations and their signal impact on subsequent periods but also in an intellectually challenging field.
To change your minor to Ancient Studies, please contact the languages department using the information below, and they will help you get going!
