More information

Did you know there are more microbes on one person's hand than there are people on the planet? Given that little tidbit, if your heart beats a little faster when you get down to those real nitty gritty, infinitesimal, miniscule things in life, you just might be a microbiology major.

Accuracy, precision, and killer observation skills are what you'll develop throughout this program. Microorganisms, many too small to be seen with the naked eye, are what you'll study. Many are harmless and even help sustain life on this planet; some can cause disease and death. You'll find your niche among them all and be prepped for an amazing career in medicine, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, agriculture, or the food industry, just to name a few.
