It's a comprehensive major that propels you into some of the most high-tech, cutting edge jobs you can imagine.
You'll become well-versed in cell structure and function, chemical processes in living things, interactions between DNA and RNA, and more. This major is also great preparation for admission to medical, dental, or any other pre-professional health school or program.
79 credits/no minor required
Biochemistry/molecular biology students study how molecules control heredity, development, aging and mental activity, as well as how abnormalities in these molecules can lead to diseases such as cancer. This comprehensive, interdisciplinary major is a laboratory-intensive bachelor of science program that provides students with a solid foundation in both chemistry and the biological sciences.
