A full-time probationary tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with an emphasis in Anthropology is available to begin August 18, 2008.
The Department of Geography and Anthropology has 13 full-time faculty members, and two academic staff members, over 100 undergraduate majors, and offers several majors as well as minors in geography and anthropology. The department is a campus leader in student/faculty collaborative research and in providing courses and experiences central to UW-Eau Claire’s strong liberal education tradition. More undergraduates from our department present the results of their research at national professional conferences such as the AAG annual meeting than from any other department in the country. The department has an exceptional inventory of state-of-the-art geographic information systems, cartographic, and analytical capabilities that are fully integrated into our teaching and research, along with access to additional equipment in other science departments on campus.
