Department of Foreign Languages

A part-time (53%) one-semester instructional academic staff position within the Lecturer series is available to teach Russian beginning August 18, 2008, and ending January 1, 2009..

The Department of Foreign Languages offers majors and minors for Liberal Arts and Teaching in French, German, Japanese, and Spanish as well as an emphasis in Business Spanish and German. Ancient Studies and TESOL minors are also offered. Other languages taught in the department are Chinese, English as a Second Language, Greek, Hmong, Latin, and Russian.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach one section of first- and second-semester Russian (8 hrs./week).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. M.A.
  2. Prior experience teaching college-level Russian at a U.S. institution.
  3. Commitment to proficiency-oriented instruction.
  4. Excellent communication skills in English; near-native or native proficiency in Russian.
