Department of Education Studies

Part-time fixed-term instructional academic staff positions are available in the Department of Education Studies (former Department of Curriculum and Instruction) for the spring 2010 semester as follows:

• A 40% appointment within the Lecturer title series for spring semester 2010 to teach two sections of CI 308, a three-credit course entitled "Science Curriculum and Instruction in Grades 1-8." The course includes study of teaching methods, instructional materials, evaluation techniques, and trends in science. An environmental education component is included as well as a directed practicum. A master's degree in an education field with an emphasis in elementary science instruction is required. To ensure consideration, completed applications must be received by November 30, 2009; however, applications may be considered until the position is filled.
