The Work/Life Initiative is charged with addressing the many challenges employees and students face as they try to balance their personal lives with school and work. Virtually all employees must juggle competing and fluctuating demands on their time at some point in their careers.
Some people may need help meeting childcare or eldercare responsibilities, while others may need advice when relocating to begin a new job. Still others may be interested in learning skills to help them manage stress more effectively. Sometimes an employee, who is new to a leadership position, may need a mentor and not know whom to approach. The term "Work/Life" refers to programming that helps members of the campus community manage their personal and professional lives.
