The following are descriptions of workshops for those interested in Web publishing using CommonSpot for official UW-Eau Claire Web sites. Sessions are provided on a periodic basis. The Overview, Basics and Intermediate workshops are scheduled on an as needed basis by the presenter.

CommonSpot Basics
Prerequisite: Must be an approved Web publisher for a CommonSpot site.
Description: CommonSpot is the Web content management system for official Web sites at UW-Eau Claire. In this workshop, you will be introduced to CommonSpot concepts, tools and methods needed to maintain Web sites. Content contributors will be able to add and manipulate images, upload documents, move elements and edit existing content after completing this workshop.

CommonSpot Intermediate
Prerequisite: Must be an approved Web publisher for a CommonSpot site and have taken CommonSpot Basics
Description: This workshop introduces the UW-Eau Claire content contributors to more CommonSpot concepts, tools and methods needed to maintain and add new content to Web sites. After completing this workshop, content contributors will be able to create subsites, add new pages, use custom elements and adapt them to fit page layouts.

CommonSpot Assisted Work Time
Prerequisite: Must be a current CommonSpot Web site publisher.
Description: During a CommonSpot Assisted Work Time session, users will have the ability to work on converting or updating their CommonSpot pages. Assistants will be available to provide advice, answer questions and provide on-the-spot demos as requested.
CommonSpot Advanced Topics
Prerequisite: Must have completed CommonSpot Intermediate.
Description: During a CommonSpot Advanced Topics session, there will be a presentation on an arranged topic and/or users will select from a variety of topics and complete exercises that demonstrate various techniques.
