Welcome to an LTS video tutorial on how to apply margins on CommonSpot elements. Margins add space around an element so the element does not sit flat against the edges of the content regions. It can be applied to elements like text boxes and images. To begin, log into CommonSpot and use the pencil icon located at the top right-hand corner of the screen to enter the CommonSpot interface. In the Page Specific Bar, go to the ÒViewÓ tab and select ÒWork on this Page (All Changes)Ó. This will allow you to make edits on the page. Notice how there are no margins and the text appears very close to the side of the page. To change the margins, click the small gray cog located in the element, and then click style. A small box will pop up with a list of margin options. If you want every side of the text to have a margin select MarginStandard. This is the most commonly used spacing. Press save to keep and see your edit. If you wish to have a margin on every side except the top, choose MarginNoTop. There are several options and combinations of margins you may use. On a final note, when you change margin styles, you do not need to resubmit the page. Thank you for using the LTS training resources.
