WICES often does special projects that impact the Chippewa Valley Community. Currently, students are participating in a course which educates others about pollinators and works to create environments to feed and shelter them.
In the "Civic Agency and Environmental Stewardship: Building Community Capacity to Steward Pollinator Biodiversity" course, students learn about the important work pollinators do and how humans can aid them. If you would like to learn about this too, be sure to come to the Planting Fiesta that will be held soon at the Phoenix Community Gardens in Eau Claire, WI on May 14 at 5:30 pm! Drinks and music provided, but please bring your own cup and chair.

First Annual Partnerships for Pollinators Photography and Art Contest
The results are in! Congratulations Erik Huebler, John Lausen, and Dan Thompson. This years judges were Bill Hoeppner and Glen Mabie they judged the entires on the following criteria: to capture the wonder of pollinators,composition, eye appeal, and technical aspects.
